A project that aims to develop a transnational framework useful for identifying, understanding and certifying the skills acquired by people involved in voluntary activities.
ACRONYM
VolComp
EXTENDED TITLE
Transnational Competence Framework for Volunteering
PROGRAM
Erasmus+
CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
VolComp was born as a natural continuation of the European eQval project, which ended in June 2025 and defined quality standards for the validation of skills acquired through volunteering.
In Europe, 92 million people are involved in volunteering, yet skills recognition and validation tools remain highly fragmented, with more than 53 tools currently in use. This fragmentation reduces the readability and transferability of acquired skills.
The project aims to develop a transnational Volunteering Competence Framework and a multilingual Practical Guide, with the aim of enhancing the skills acquired by volunteers.
