CONTEXT AND OBJECTIVES
The eQval project, launched in January 2023, responds to a significant need within the European Union: standardizing and improving the quality of validation of learning outcomes acquired through volunteering. Volunteering offers a rich environment for non-formal and informal learning, yet the skills acquired are often not recognized due to the lack of consistent validation methodologies across countries and sectors. The eQval project aims to fill this gap by developing a comprehensive set of European Quality Standards for this validation process.
The motivation stems from the growing importance of lifelong learning and the recognition of skills acquired outside of formal education systems.
The eQval project therefore aims to empower individuals, strengthen civil society organizations, and contribute to a more qualified and inclusive European workforce.
